The technology to rapidly charge your battery-draining mobile devices could be available for mass-market as soon as 2016.

At least, that’s according to Israeli startup StoreDot, which unveiled its device Monday at the Microsoft Think Next event in Tel Aviv.

The device claims to be able to charge any phone from 0% to 100% in thirty seconds, and have uploaded a video demonstration of the technology.

The main challenges for the company, which has thus far raised $6.25 million, are the cost of the chargers as well as the size, but the 2016 projection for mass market provides the startup with ample time to refine their product.

Perhaps one of the biggest challenges in mobile computing isn’t going to be solved with bigger batteries, but with better chargers instead.
